Sabrine Schnyder acts as an arbitrator in international commercial arbitration proceedings before major arbitral institutions, such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Swiss Arbitration Center (the Center), the WIPO Arbitration Rules, the Court of Arbitration for Art (CAfA), the Vienna International Arbitration Center (VIAC), the German Arbitration Institute (DIS) and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC). 

Sabrine also assists sole arbitrators and arbitral tribunals as tribunal secretary.

Arbitrator

  • Acting as sole arbitrator in a Swiss Rules arbitration of a dispute arising out of a settlement agreement between two private individuals. The seat of arbitration was Geneva, Switzerland and proceedings were conducted in English.
  • Acting as a sole arbitrator in a Swiss Rules arbitration involving claims for repayment of a loan governed by Swiss law. The seat of arbitration was Geneva, Switzerland and the proceedings were conducted in French.
  • Acting as a sole arbitrator in an arbitration governed by the ICC Rules. The parties brought forward claims under a distribution agreement for the delivery and sale of pharmaceutical face masks. The seat of arbitration was Zurich and the proceedings were conducted in German.
  • Acting as co-arbitrator in a three-member arbitral tribunal in a SCC arbitration between a Swedish and a Swiss company. The dispute involved claims for non-payment of IT and operational due diligence services. The service agreements were governed by Swedish law. Seat of arbitration was Stockholm and the proceedings were conducted in English.

Tribunal Secretary

  • Acting as secretary to the arbitral tribunal in a DIS arbitration involving claims for damages due to an alleged wrongful termination of a contract for the supply of steam coal. The seat of arbitration is in Berlin, Germany and the proceedings are conducted in German.
  • Acting as secretary to the sole arbitrator in a Swiss Rules arbitration of a dispute between a global life sciences company and its Middle-Eastern distributor concerning the distribution of a complex high-value medical robot. The seat of arbitration was in Geneva, Switzerland and the proceedings were conducted in English.
  • Acting as secretary to the sole arbitrator for a Swiss Rules arbitration regarding the alleged non-execution of a loan agreement. The seat of arbitration was in Geneva, Switzerland and the proceedings were conducted in French.
  • Acting as secretary to the Sole Arbitrator in a DIS arbitration regarding outstanding payments under a supply and delivery agreement for a beverage bottling plant. The seat of arbitration is in Regensburg, Germany and the proceedings are conducted in German. The governing law is German law.
  • Acting as a secretary to the sole arbitrator in an ICC arbitration involving claims under a service agreement in the defense and security industry. The governing law is Swiss law and the seat of arbitration is Geneva. The proceedings are conducted in English.
  • Acting as a secretary to the arbitral tribunal in an ICC construction arbitration. The seat of arbitration is in Geneva and the proceedings are conducted in English.
